Appiani mosaics is produced by single-press firing.

SINGLE-PRESS FIRING is a unique technology developed and patented. It means that dry atomized glaze and clay are pressed together and baked at high temperatures. Such process guarantees exceptionally durable and hardwearing product.
Baking at 1200° C for 18 hours
Appiani use 1,8 kg of glaze for square meter of mosaics, Due to such a big quantity of glaze, we obtain a soft shape of the edges of mosaic cells. This way we guarantee a safe and soft surface for walking barefoot and long durability.
